A broken family can have an immeasurable impact on a child. Jerry, who once lived in a happy family, could not cope with her parents’ divorce and her father’s remarriage. This led her to develop depression, characterized by talking to herself and experiencing auditory hallucinations.

With the support and encouragement of her family, Jerry underwent treatment and medication to manage her condition. After her recovery, she reintegrated into society, earned an accounting diploma through her own efforts, and secured a good job.

However, at the age of 30, her condition relapsed, and medication could no longer control it. Around this time, her father’s second marriage also ended in divorce. Jerry was taken care of by her father and younger sister for over 20 years. Now, with her father having suffered a stroke and her sister unable to care for both of them, Jerry has been entrusted to our Love and Care Disability Center.
